Trey Dorminey is a 2026 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Chula, GA who attends Tift County. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, hands play well out front and shows a clean funnel and exchange while working to either side, quick release, shows some strength and accuracy across the diamond and will continue to add, able to change slot on the move to complete play. One handed gather on the approach in the outfielder, athleticism plays in actions to hte ball, lower slot on the release, shows strength on throws out of the hand. Also pitched, leg lift up to waist, effort to delivery with a medium length arm action working to a high three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, showed sinking life to it and landed breaker for strikes with 11-5 shape up to 65 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a very spread stance in the box, upper body dominant swing. Employs a middle of the field approach, simple swing overall with solid present bat speed through the zone. Can implement additional lower half into swing with weight shift, line drive carry coming off. Excellent student.
