Chance Thomas is a 2028 SS/C, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-3 119 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Mays. He has a smaller frame with a lean and athletic build that projects for further development and added strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.36 seconds. Primary shortstop that shows good footwork moving in both directions and has plenty of athleticism. He has advanced actions for his age and showed plenty of feel for the glove. Secondary outfielder that showed similar athletic movements in the outfield as he did on the infield. He has developing arm strength and showed nice accuracy when throwing to the bases. Also worked out at catcher, starting in a high, side saddle stance. He uses small steps and has a quick transfer and release. Gaining more ground towards second could help him add velocity to his throws and shave time off his pop time. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base that is slightly open. He uses a small leg lift trigger for timing and has a simple operation overall. He does a nice job of staying on balance with his lower half and showed feel for the barrel.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
