Jake Brannon is a 2027 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Fellowship Christian School. Advanced and athletic lean frame for the age that will hold more muscle. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, good mover in the grass with coordinated footwork, moves with energy, works around it well, confident actions with short and quick arm release for throws that produce good carry up to 84-mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stretch only, closed off front side, belt high lift with short takeaway to a high slot release and is direct to the plate down the slope. Fastball bumped 78-mph, showed a slider with developing spin in the low 70's and occasional upper 60's change that killed spin effectively and had some sink. Took reps at first base, similar arm strength there across the diamond with good actions and mobility around the bag and on turns. Left-handed hitter, balanced operation that produced good length through the zone with bat speed, loaded into back hip well and uncoiled, separation present, good pull side impact in the round with a feel to turn over the barrel. Athletic and competent actions at every spot, smooth left-handed stroke with a good arm in the outfield. Great student. Named to 2023 13U/14U Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.
