Matthew Delgado is a 2027 catcher with a durable 5-11 180 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake HS. Started the event off clocking a 8.04 60-yard dash. A primary catcher. Traditional stance behind the plate, and goes to one knee working under the ball on throws to second base. Gains ground replacing the feet with clean exchange and quick release. Shows pocket awareness while receiving with solid athletic actions. Secondary corner infielder working at first base. Hands work out front with aggressive actions on throws. Arm strength across the diamond at 72 mph. Switch hitter with an even base and upright stance. Strength through zone with bat speed and barrel control from both sides. Showed some impact out front. Was named to the Top Prospect List.
