Ian Fournier is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Gainesville, VA who attends Gainesville. Medium athletic build with some strength for his age and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced slightly open stance with a comfortable hand set load, tall swing approach, turns on the ball well and has good hand speed with some extension and lift through the ball, good overall swing mechanics, hard pull contact in his live at-bats, projects well as a hitter. Primary outfielder on defense who was aggressive to the ball, big crow hop into his throws, has good arm strength for a freshman. Good all around athlete who will keep improving with physical maturity. Very good student. Named to the Virginia Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
