Hunter Austra is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Larksville, PA who attends Holy Redeemer. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength to frame, additional room to fill. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, longer transfer into a shorter arm action, works on top of throws, shows some arm strength and carry on throws down to second base, gains short ground coming out. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Fluid stroke through the zone, creates some present bat speed and connected for a loud double in live action that one hopped wall in center field. Patient approach, shows comfort working to pull side, gets rotational with lower half in swing, creates line drive contact to pull side when on time. Very good student.
