Luke Theeuwes is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Grandville, MI who attends Grandville. Compact, athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.13 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Flashed good footwork working to and through the baseball in the outfield to go along with confident glove actions. Displayed clean transfers while creating good momentum into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 81 mph from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs an upright stance with a stride into weight shift. Utilizes a gap to gap approach looking to drive line drives to and through the gaps in the outfield. Displayed good bat speed and barrel control creating consistently driven line drives to all fields throughout batting practice and games. Also pitched. Great student. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound, landing online with the plate and staying online with the plate through finish. Compact arm action going to a mid three-quarter arm slot with interesting arm speed. Showed a fastball with heavy life through the zone up to 79 mph complemented with a 11/5 curveball with good spin and sharp break at 67 mph. Great student.
