Davin Pace is a 2023 2B/RHP, 3B, SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Pleasant Grove, UT who attends American Fork. Medium, athletic frame with square shoudulers and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman moves well on feet with fluidity and athleticism to actions, quick footwork in the dirt and balanced on the move, hands play nicely at the ball, shorter arm action on throws across with accuracy and shows firmness on to first base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and slightly open stance, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing, swings with intent when in the box. Short swing path through the zone, keeps hands inside the ball and can implement additional separation out front. Gets downward with swing path at times, turns the barrel quickly and shows balance to swing, rotational mechanics, showed the ability to go the other way at point of contact. Excellent student. Named to the Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List.
