Noah Ruiz is a 2022 SS/2B, 3B, MIF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Maranatha Christian Schools. Strong, athletic frame. 7.54 60-yd. Advanced defender on the infield. Good footwork put body in position to make plays consistently. Flashed twitchy actions. Displayed the ability to catch the ball well. Works through hops with soft glove action. Showcased a strong arm with the ability to throw from multiple angles. Utilized smooth, balanced swing in the box. Narrow upright stance with a leg kick timing mechanism. Solid bat speed with natural loft with the bat path. Showed the ability to use the entire field well. Strength lead to flashes of solid raw power. Clean operation down the mound. Drop and drive delivery allows for quality lower half involvement. ¾ arm slot with above-average arm speed. Repeats the delivery well due to advanced body control. The fastball sat 71-76 mph with some ride through the zone. Threw the offering strikes often with the ability to pound both sides of the plate. Paired with slider that sat 59-65 mph with tight break and tilt. Showcased the ability to spin it well. The pitch has swing and miss ability when thrown with conviction. Excellent student, as well.
