2021 13U Sunshine West Showcase
Kasen Torres is a 2026 RHP/UT with a 5-10 120 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Newport Harbor. He has a tall frame for his age with a thin build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.53 seconds. Primary pitcher that has a tall, upright delivery. He uses a short arm action and goes after hitters, filling up the zone. He does a nice job of pushing down the mound with his lower half. His fastball is straight and his curveball is a looping 12-6 offering. Secondary infielder that is methodical moving to the ball and has footwork that will be more polished as he matures. At the plate, he showed good accuracy with the barrel, making consistent contact out in front of the plate. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
