Cristian Mejia is a 2025 OF/1B with a 5-8 164 lb. frame from Union City, NJ who attends Union City High School. Recorded a 5.52 second forty-yard dash time. Compact, athletic looking frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Primary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates aggressive actions into the fielding process and a clean gather off his front foot. Carries some momentum into release and recorded developing arm strength up to 68 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high. hand set, high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Slightly lofted stroke with compact hand speed and some feel for the barrel. Pullside approach with rotational lower half mechanics and good extension out in front. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing, young prospect with plenty of time and room to mature.
