Pierson McGinnis is a 2022 OF/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Montgomery, NY who attends Kennedy Catholic. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Very good runner, 6.68 in the sixty. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short and direct swing path, hands driven swing that can get more use from his lower half, line drive high contact approach that hits to all fields. Has sound fundamental actions in the outfield with good footwork through the ball and a quick release, makes accurate one hop throws and repeats his mechanics well, compact arm action. Has a good idea how to play and the athleticism to continue to improve. Outstanding student. Named to the Fall Connecticut Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
