Yoon Chae is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Cape Henry Collegiate School. Medium frame with an athletic build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 6.99 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step as he proved to have lateral range. Clean gather out front showing confidence in the glove. Arm strength present as he threw it 82 mph. Has the tools and instincts to stay here down the road. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a side-step to a belt high lift. Medium arm circle in the back before releasing from a higher slot. Athletic in the actions as he utilizes the lower half. Free and easy arm stroke with a quick arm. Fastball up to 85 mph with arm side run present. Also mixed in a short, vertical breaking ball with 11-to-5 movements in low-70's. Rounded arsenal off with fading changeup in the low-70's. Mixed up pitches and lived around the zone with all three. Right-Handed Hitter, even while slightly open with the front side. Small leg lift trigger as the hands get deep behind the ear. Turns the barrel as he fires it through the zone. Stays compact while creating lag. Found the barrel with every cut as he sprayed it around the field. Also flashed power to the pull-side. Well rounded in all facets of the game. Outstanding Student. Named to National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
