2024 Chicago Indoor Showcase
Gael Urbieta is a 2025 C/UT with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Chicago, IL, who attends Loyola Academy. A taller frame with strength throughout a bigger build. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. A primary catcher who had an open setup behind the plate with a quick transfer working out of the crouch. Quick step forward, gaining ground, keeping throws accurate to second base in the air from a shorter release. Had a clue for the footwork and was quick with his actions, helping him throw 74 mph down to second with a 1.95 pop time. A right-handed hitter with a bigger and stronger presence in the box. An upright stance with a shorter stride to contact, rotating hard through the swing. He had good hand speed and was able to elevate during his round of BP swings. Produced a 90 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Great student. Named to the 2024 Chicago Indoor Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
