Hector Javier Fonseca is a 2021 C/1B, 3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from San Lorenzo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Medium frame with a stocky type build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 7.85 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting higher in his stance as he proved to be athletic in his stance. Receives the baseball comfortably and then works into transfers. Catch and release skills showing as he was accurate to the bag with throws. Recorded a pop time of 2.15 seconds during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out and open with a high back elbow. Short stride in before flashing a linear swing path. Strength in the hands present as he showcased he could drive it middle-away. Very loud contact when he squared it up. Great Student.
