2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Aidan McHugh is a 2023 C/MIF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Fulshear, TX who attends Jordan. Recorded a 7.93 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, lean frame with some room to add strength. Primary catcher that receives from a slightly side-saddled stance and one-hand to start the throwing process. Displayed elongated mid-line transfer and gains ground towards his target to throw. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 70 mph during drills. Switch-hitter with similar slightly closed stance from both sides. Incorporates rotational lower half movements and uphill swing plane into contact. Shows better present bat speed from the right-side, along with good extension and line drive impact from gap-to-gap. Calm approach with some intent from both sides, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
