Sean Penalver is a 2022 OF/2B with a 5-5 145 lb. frame from Brentwood, NY who attends Brentwood. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, plays back on the baseball, shows quickness to footwork on the approach, clean gather out front with glove work, shows arm strength and carry on throws to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a lower hand set at the plate; utilizes a big leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Stays compact to the baseball and shows present hand speed, connects for line drive contact and carry off of the barrel to the middle of the field. Repeats and stays simple at the plate with mechanics, turns the barrel well, comfort working to all fields with a handle for the barrel. Good student.
