Dominick Balsamo is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Xaverian. Recorded a 7.41 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, lean frame with plenty of time and room to fill out. Primary catcher that receives from a low, side-saddled stance with soft hands and quick footwork out of the crouch. Exhibits short and direct mid-line transfers and gains ground toward his target efficiently. Displayed quick release, accurate throws to the bags and arm strength up to 75 mph from behind the plate during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hand set, low back elbow and simple leg lift trigger. Smooth, repeatable stroke with loose, quick hands and advanced bat-to-ball skills. Contact oriented stroke wit exceptional feel for the barrel and gap-to-gap power potential as he physically matures. Produced consistent line drive impact with good extension out in front. Fundamentally sound catch-and-throw skill set with offensive prowess and some upside remaining on both sides of the ball. Will continue to improve with additional strength. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
