Ryan Newell is a 2027 OF/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Nolensville, TN who attends Nolensville. Medium athletic build with some length and plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball out front and works into his throws, longer arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, throws have some tail. Also played first base and was more athletic at that position, good mover with an idea on his footwork, makes accurate throws, arm slot works better at first base, showed his athleticism at first base. Left handed hitter, starts from a spread and slightly open stance, gets into his lower half well and fires his hips hard, quick hips and solid bat speed, made hard line drive contact while flashing some lift, projects well as a hitter. Good student. Named to the PG Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
