Garrett McGee is a 2023 C/RHP, 3B, MIF, UT with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends Newnan. He showed plus speed with a 6.78 second sixty. A primary catcher with a athletic wiry frame. Behind the plate he sits in a side straddle stance and staggered feet, he gets out of the crouch quick with fast footwork and a decent exchange and solid carry on the throws recording a 2.02 second pop time. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base showing good intent to the swing with a smoother path and good feel for the barrel, he used the whole field well with flashes of bat speed. Excellent student.
