Joshua Wicker is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Fenwick. Recorded a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a lean and athletic frame. Showed twitchy actions in the dirt and moved well laterally. Works low to the ground and showed solid arm strength with throws up to 80 mph across the diamond. Had an overall clean round and made all of the plays. Right-handed hitter and starts with a balanced stance, slightly open feet, and a high back elbow. Initiates the swing with a leg lift trigger. Employed a middle of the field, line drive approach. Also pitched and worked from a quick tempo. Offers some deception, hiding the ball through the back with the arm action. Gets into his lower-half well and ran the fastball up to 79 mph with late running life. Showed confidence spinning a tight, short biting slider and tunneled it well. Pieces to contribute on both sides of the ball. Named to the 2021 Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
