Todd Hudson is a 2022 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-6 220 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends River Bluff. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Moves well for size, posted a 6.69 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, works into a longer arm action and shows present strength and carry out of the hand, sound defensive actions, tends to stride open upon release. Also pitched, high leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside, simple delivery down the mound with an on line arm action working to a three-quarters release point with extension out front, low effort release; fastball topped out at 89 mph in this look with some life at the bottom of the zone and mixed both a curveball and changeup for strikes. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Full swing path through the zone, does a nice job of staying connected in swing and generates solid bat speed through the zone; best when getting separated and generating leverage out front, big power upside and already shows ability to drive the ball out to his pull side. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Liberty.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
