Bryce Pax is a 2023 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Plainfield, IN who attends Plainfield. Features a big, physical build with strength present. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Caught the ball cleanly throughout outfield drills. Maintains momentum to and through the catch point. Showcased a consistently clean ball transfer into long arm action throws. Displayed above-average arm strength. Still refining the accuracy of throws. Threw 83 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a staggered base. Shifts weight onto the backside using a big leg lift load. Flashed the ability to create bat speed through the zone. Strength helps drive the ball with authority. Finding the barrel more consistently would allow for it to play more regularly. Threw the ball well as lefthanded pitcher. Uses a high leg lift load with a slight coil toward the back side. Keeps direction well down the mound using a longer stride. Ball comes out fairly clean using a long arm action out of a high 3/4 slot. The fastball sat 74-79 mph with slight armside run. Will elevate the offering with two-strikes. Paired it with a solid, mid-60’s curveball. Sweeping shape and quality depth help generate whiffs on occasion. Can throw both pitches for strikes regularly. Allows the lefthander to get ahead of hitters and keep them off balance. Intriguing arm overall. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
