Hayden Root is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 125 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Farragut HS. Recorded an 8.27 second 60-yard dash time. Younger, lean frame with lots of room to fill and develop physically. Primary righthanded pitcher with a loose arm stroke and gets the arm up on time. Short rocker step into the leg lift above the belt. Delivers on time and gets downhill while pounding the strike zone. Three-quarters arm slot and can locate the breaking ball for strikes to both sides. Clears lower half well and repeats the arm slot. Secondary outfielder with a full arm path and lower arm slot. Fields off to the side with deliberate actions and squares through release. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Drifts into load with a shorter swing path. Middle and pull side contact mostly and has currently developing bat speed.
