Carter Chalder is a 2026 C/3B, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-3 125 lb. frame from Port Charlotte, FL who attends Charlotte. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build, room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.80 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a higher set behind the plate during drills, receives the ball out front, gets it out of glove well, occasionally uphill with release, short stride into release and can continue to refine footwork, higher release on throws. Graded out best in the infield in this look, gets low working behind the bball, fields it out front, works on top of throws and repeats actions, nice balance in movements. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a short shift into contact, occasionally gets mistimed but stays short to the ball with hands; best contact when working on a linear plane and creating extension out front. Excellent student.
