2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase
Connor Kane is a 2020 RHP/MIF, 3B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Tall and projectable frame, lean with room to fill. Ran a 7.31 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, pushes hips to the plate some, full arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, upper body is not in sync with lower half as he comes down the mound, arm works nicely through the back, spins over front leg as he lands. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with occasional sink, mixed in a 12-to-6 curveball, more velocity in the tank with slight adjustments. Secondary middle infielder, moves to the baseball with short steps, fielded the ball smoothly when having to move laterally, pretty good overall actions, average arm strength across the diamond, topped out at 76 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, short toe tap trigger into swing, bat waggle at load for timing purposes, could utilize a weight shift into swing for greater strength and bat speed, hands are direct to the baseball developing quickness to them, worked to all fields during round, can improve with improvement of lower half involvement. Good student.
