Bryce Cruz is a 2023 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Granite Bay, CA who attends IMG Academy. Large frame with a lean build showing some room to fill out physically going forward. Ran a 7.16 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, short side step to a belt high lift. Drives down the mound and lands direct to dish. Quick shoulder as he released from a higher three-quarter slot. Stays compact as he proved to have a fluid tempo. Fastball up to 85 mph with arm side run. Mixed in a breaking ball with 11-to-5 movements in the mid-60's. Proved he could mix it up and land both for strikes. Secondary Third Baseman, sitting back a bit as he gathers with two hands out front. Reaching for the baseball at times as he is unsure with the glove. Accurate across the diamond as he threw it 87 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with an open stance and high hands behind the ear. Short to the baseball as he deploys a table setter type approach. Drives it on a line to all fields. Great Student. Verbal commitment to Pacific.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
