Brian Nunez is a 2022 RHP/3B, IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Point Loma. He ran a 7.53 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a athletic build. On the mound he showed quick delivery with a full arm action and arm working to a high three-quarter slot with decent arm speed, the fastball sat 81-85 mph with some effort out front, the breaking balls showed two distinct breaks with a slider showing harder horizontal break and the curveball breaking with 11-5 shape, the changeup showed consistent arm speed with occasional fading actions in the mid 70's. He is able to land all three offerings for strikes. On the infield he breaks down well to the baseball with the hands playing soft out front, the arm action is long and loose through the back and the ability to make accurate throws on the run. Right-handed hitter, starts narrow using a hanging leg lift to trigger a swing showing plenty of intent. When he is on time with the trigger he showed some jump off the barrel impacting the baseball out front. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 California Workout Camp Session 5 Top Prospect List.
