LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Tyler Johnson is a 2025 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Opelika, AL who attends Opelika. Tyler ran a 7.25 Sixty Yard Dash. He showed a long build with plenty of athleticism and some strength throughout. Primary Catcher he worked well out in front with the glove receiving it softly. The lower half works quickly and aggressively as Johnson did a great job of gaining plenty of ground going forward. He showed a quick compact arm stroke with accurate throws on his throw downs. In the infield Tyler had some lateral movement with heavier feet. He showed a clean funnel with the glove , fielded the bell well out in front and made clean plays and had an accurate arm across the diamond. Right handed hitter worked with a slightly open stance with a smaller toe tap trigger. The hands worked tight to the body and moved into to slot upon load. There was some strength at contact and tilt within the bat path as he had no problem driving the baseball to all fields. Tyler was voted to the WWBA Summer Workout Top Prospect List. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
