Bridger Schmidt is a 2027 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Linn-Mar. A taller, extra-large frame. Longer lower half with a physical build. Shows room to continue adding in more strength moving forward. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who fields one-handed off the front foot after taking direct angles to it. He showed a longer arm action on his throws with a loose arm stroke, throwing 78 mph from the outfield. He had a full arm swing through release, and the actions project well as he grows into his frame. Also worked out as a first baseman, where he threw 76 mph across the diamond. Sure-handed fielding with active footwork to it. He gets in front of it and had clean actions overall. He's a left-handed hitter with a wider base, higher-set hands, and a high back elbow. He has an even base with some strength showing off the barrel. He was able to drive the ball well and do damage pull-side during his round of BP swings. He was able to get extended and drive the ball well off the back hip to lift and leverage. Rotational through contact with some juice present. Produced a 94 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Added a base hit in-game as well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. He sidesteps into a leg lift up at the belt, throwing from a higher three-quarters arm sot. He has a slower and more deliberate start. He carries his front-side well as he moves down the mound with an on-line and direct move—longer arm stroke with a full arm circle. The fastball worked the low- to mid-70s with some downhill angle. Heavy barrage of fastballs early on. He showed a curveball with a spiked downward break to it. Threw an inning, allowing 1 hit and striking out 1 opposing hitter. Excellent student. Named to 2023 Midwest Top Prospect Games TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
