Dustin Whitmire is a 2020 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 153 lb. frame from Norman, OK who attends Noble HS. Slender young build, plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow open stance with a wrapped barrel start, gets to his front side early and looks to pull, line drive swing plane with occasional lift out front. 7.83 runner, long and loose arm action in the outfield with developing arm strength, has confident and sure actions moving through the ball. Also pitched, deep arm action in back, medium effort delivery with some fall off in front, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight, tends to slow arm on his curveball release. Good student.
