Carter Gallagher is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Waterloo, IA who attends Columbus Catholic. He has a bigger frame with an athletic build and a high waist. His frame projects well as there is plenty of room to add additional strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.75 seconds. Primary shortstop that has quick feet and takes good angles on ground balls. He is consistently in the proper fielding position and has soft hands that allow him to funnel the ball into his body well. He has a smooth, clean transfer before making firm throws across the diamond that are consistently accurate. He showed solid back hand mechanics and can change arm slots well. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base that is open. He uses a simple stride for timing and has a medium length swing. He has quick hands and will undoubtedly hit for additional power as he continues to add muscle. He has a line drive approach and hits the balls into the gaps. Excellent student.
