Nicholas Barracato is a 2022 RHP/C, 3B, SS, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Howell, NJ who attends Howell. Recorded a 7.34 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher works primarily from the stretch as he shifts with a low, tight handset into a coiling belt high leg lift and flies open to the plate landing on the first base side of the mound. Barracato shows cutting action on his fastball topping 80 mph and he keeps the ball down in the zone well as he goes right after the hitters while mixing in a tight breaking ball with sweeping action. Secondary outfielder shows good athletic movements through the baseball fielding to the side of the baseball with a quick release to the bases. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with an even base, high hands, some barrel tilt, and short strides with a lofted swing showing good barrel control. Barracato also has good impact of the barrel showing middle to pull side approach. Excellent student.
