William Martinez Jr. is a 2024 OF/UT with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Deltona, FL who attends Deltona. Medium, athletic frame with physical look. Good runner, ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, charges in hard, fields with one hand on the side of the body, clean mid body exchange into a full arm swing to a high three-quarters slot. Obvious arm strength and was accurate around the bag, recorded throws up to 87 mph. Athletic actions and projects well in the outfield. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance with an even base, inward toe tap trigger into stride, turns the barrel over hard and impacted to the pull-side consistently. Has bat speed and lived on the barrel throughout the weekend. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup, short side step into a belt high leg lift, full inline arm path in the back to a high three-quarters release point. Lived right around 80 mph with the fastball, up to 82 mph (1812 RPM) with carry up in the zone. Showed a two plane curveball at 70 mph. Great student. Named to 2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
