Zack Ohlde is a 2023 OF/RHP/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Northwest. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a stride into even, takes an aggressive swing and gets hard to his front side while creating good bat speed, pull approach with a line drive swing plane, showed feel for the barrel to go along with intent. 7.35 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball with good footwork, tends to field off to the side impacting his glove consistency, throws from a very low arm slot for an outfielder. Also pitched, works from a side step start with a small turn over the rubber, long takeaway in back with a 3/4's arm slot coming through, body gets out ahead of his arm at times. Fastball worked in the low 70's with occasional arm side life when in the zone, also threw a curveball that flashed 11/5 shape. Bat is his best tool. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
