Sammy Echeverry is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends St. Cloud. Extra big and strong for his age, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a big leg raise load, long and strong swing with plenty of raw power and ability create carry, works mostly to the middle of the field at present. 8.12 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has a compact arm action and exchange, makes accurate throws and repeats his footwork well, developing blocking skills and lower half actions, can continue to work on his lower half flexibility given his size. Took a trn on the mound and has two-way potential. Long and loose arm action on the mound, lands very open but repeats his mechanics well and is well timed in his mechanics. Fastball worked in the mid-80/s with big running action at times, threw lots of fastball striokes. Curveball has some 11/5 depth and shape, change up was a good pitch with arm speed and a feel for landing the pitch.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
