Damon Breland is a 2024 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B with a 6-0 130 lb. frame from Hagerstown, MD who attends South Hagerstown. Recorded a 8.04 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with plenty of room to fill. Primary shortstop, fields out in front with two hands and developing glove work. Short arm action with a hitch, has a quick transfer and release, limited arm strength at present. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a short arm circle and a segmented delivery. Comes from an over the top slot and utilizes tall and fall lower half mechanics. Limited backside drive at present, fastball is flat, tends to slow his arm down when changing speeds. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and even base, has a high hand and back elbow set. Has a full path with some fluidity to it, shows quickness in the hands, gets rotational at times. Lot of extra movements in the swing that are difficult to repeat, has some things to like about the swing moving forward.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
