Patrick Demaio is a 2021 RHP/2B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Creekview. Medium and lean frame with room to fill, athletic. Ran a 6.86 second 60 yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, deceptive delivery with multiple moving parts prior to take back, arm works back to a long arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, extends at release, works across his body with a closed landing and quickly in-between pitches. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, sinking life to the fastball often, mixes in a curveball with 12-6 shape that he will slow his delivery down on slightly, changeup is best secondary with maintained fastball arm speed and a strong feel for the offering, works the lower half of the zone well. Secondary outfielder, quick and smooth release with good carry on his throws up to 79 mph. Right-handed hitter, toe tap trigger with his weight staying on his backside, shows quickness to his hands with a varying plane created through the hitting zone, best when staying on a line drive plane but will get too uphill at times, things to work with in the box with adjustments to timing and plane. Good student.
