Eddie Tanner is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Hamilton, OH who attends Talawanda. Primary middle infielder, quick feet on the dirt with a glove that works through short hops nicely. Arm has plenty of usable strength across the diamond, max effort nature led to inaccuracy. Right-handed hitter, medium base, square stance with a high back elbow. Swing works direct on a level plane to impact. Strength shows at the point of contact. Sudden movements in the hand to get the barrel out front on time, fires it hard to all fields on a line. Advanced barrel skills. On the mound, Fluid athletic delivery with a clean arm action and three-quarters slot. Above average arm speed locating mid 80's fastballs consistently low in the zone. Slight arm side sink to the fastball. Slider is the best pitch right now with late biting action, has feel to spin the pitch and the late break misses bats consistently. Fastball/slider play really well off one another with some tunneling from the same arm slot/arm speed. Could benefit from adding a changeup to get left-handed hitter out in the future. Stand out player in all facets. 6.85 60-yard. Outstanding student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
