Hudson Powell is a 2022 OF/RHP/2B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Kernersville, NC who attends Northwest Guilford. Large frame that projects well. Ran a 7.40 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps to the ball, rounds it and works through it well, clean receiver on his front foot and showed accurate throws with some arm strength and carry on them. Also pitched, attacked the zone with the fastball showing good sinking action to it as he extends well and showed feel for a slower-developing breaking ball. Righthanded hitter, sets up even, shows good whip to the barrel with quickness to his hands, impacts it well out front and incorporates the lower half well which allowed him to elevate and produce carry on impact to the pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
