Luis Muniz is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Guanica, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium, strongly built frame with additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a side turned set up behind the plate in drills and showed comfort with a one knee stance, strong receiver and shows athleticism coming out of the crouch while gaining ground; quickness to arm and shows accuracy with carry on throws down to second base, nice defensive tools. Showed coordination and body control in live action while playing shortstop and made a nice charge play with the throw on the run. Also pitched, full wind up on the mound working to a three-quarters release point, leg lift up above belt, compact slot through the back and hides the ball. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly true in life, will continue to refine a consistent release point, mixed a changeup at 73 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide and even stance in the box, does a nice job of remaining direct to the ball with hands. Simple swing and can incorporate additional lower half weight shift moving into contact; linear stroke through the one with line drive carry coming off to the pull side, showed ability to elevate at times.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
