Matthew Yarc is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Ruben S. Ayala. Slender young build with lots of physical projection ahead of him. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Has good quickness in the middle infield on defense, stays low and works behind and through the ball, advanced footwork for his age, arm works very well from a low slot and has a quick release with notable accuracy. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a hands driven short inside swing, handled the barrel well and made consistent square contact, bat speed will continue to improve with physical strength and maturity. Also pitched, throws from a 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot with a cross body landing out front, compact arm stroke that hides the ball well. Fastball worked up to 78 mph with good running life, also threw a slurvy breaking ball from a low slot and showed good arm speed on his change up. Good athlete with present defensive skills. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
