Rex Jones is a 2019 OF/LHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Sandy, UT who attends Juan Diego Catholic HS. Athletic body with some present strength and room for more. 7.07 runner, young outfield fundamentals, lower arm lot on his throws with a cross body release, can improve arm strength and accuracy with better direction and arm slot. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a short and quick swing, limited lower half shift into contact, handles the barrel well and can get some whip out front. Has hitting tools to develop. Also pitched, hand drop delivery with a closed front side on landing. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, soft curveball with a developing change up. Good student.
