JT Stiner is a 2024 C/1B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Cathedral. Medium build with very good present strength. Right handed hitter, starts slightly open with a low hand load, good lower half actions into his swing, line drive swing plane with some lift and separation out front, has present bat speed and creates big jump off the barrel, works gap to gap, high level hitting tools. Primary catcher on defense, has polished actions receiving and throwing, gains ground well throwing with his footwork and has a quick release that he repeats well, makes accurate throws with carry. Very good all around talent with notable offensive potential for his position. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Virginia Tech. Named to the Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
