Jake Cummings is a 2024 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Opelika, AL who attends Lee-Scott Academy. Medium, athletic frame with high waist and room to continue to fill. Recorded a 7.57 second 60-yard dash time. Right-handed hitter with a even base and high back elbow slot. Short knee lift trigger stride with short, direct path through the zone that produced line drives to both gaps. The swing has some natural loft with feel for the barrel shown. Primary corner infielder, showed some feel for first base, fielded the ball out front with fundamentally sound actions and showed accurate throws when bouncing off the bag, throws up to 77 mph. Also went through the infield workout, showed smooth footwork to the baseball, efficient transition, longer arm swing with high three-quarters release. Showed a strong arm with throws up to 82 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with tons of projectability in the frame. Belt high leg lift to balance works down the mound with a longer arm swing in the back to an over the top release point. Fastball has good ride out of the hand, sitting in the low-80s (2215 RPM. Also threw a curveball with 11-5 shape and depth when he got on top of it in the mid-60s (1875 RPM). Changeup showed some arm-side fade in the mid-70s (1555 RPM). Good athlete with projectable traits in all phases. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
