2022 Florida Workout Showcase (April 29)
Simon Scharff is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Lake Wales, FL who attends Lake Wales Senior. Recorded a 7.43 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a sturdy frame and some present strength. Gained ground well on throws from behind the plate and popped a best time of 1.93 in drills. Showed quickness to feet and an accurate arm with carry. Also worked in the outfield and used a methodical approach to the ball with short steps. Utilized a short arm action and released from a 3/4 slot. Showcased good arm strength and reached 87 mph on throws from the outfield. Right-handed hitter and starts with a wide base and even feet. Employs a leg lift and showed good bat speed. Impacted the ball hard and worked primarily the pull side during his round. Named to the 2022 Florida Workout Showcase Top Prospect List. Tremendous student.
