Jetsel Cajigas is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Mandarin. Medium, slender frame with athletic look to it and room to add strength. Recorded a 7.09 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary middle-infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set and upside. Displayed a quick first step, a clean funnel out in-front and plenty of lateral range to either side. Worked downhill through the baseball and worked up to an over-the-top arm slot. Produced accurate throws up to 74 mph across the diamond during drills. Switch-hitter that hits from a similar slightly open stance with a tight hand set and toe-tap trigger. Displayed loose, quick hands from the left-side with plenty of present bat speed and feel for the barrel. Displayed slightly less quickness to his hands from the right-side but showed similar short, flatter swing path and ability to impact the baseball using the whole field. Fundamentally sound prospect with offensive prowess and upside from both sides of the plate. Good Student.
