William Goldberg is a 2018 C/3B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal HS. Medium-compact frame with sturdy, strong build. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish for defensive drills. Receives the ball well and stays down in crouch well. Measured release with solid exchange and transfer. Accurate throws to bases with developing strength and arm speed, popped as low as 2.15 seconds in defensive drills. Right handed hitter, starts with hands at letters. Uses small toe-tap timing trigger, fluid swing path, likes to keep hands inside the baseball. Flash feel for the barrel, shows comfort in shooting balls to the opposite field, repeats contact-oriented swing well. Excellent student.
