Michael Steinrock is a 2018 MIF/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from West Chester, PA who attends Salesianum High school. medium, athletic frame, young look with present strength to frame, still projects physically moving forward. Ran a 5.61 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball with an extra step upon release, short and compact arm action, shows accuracy on throws when on top of the ball, can lower arm slot and throw accurately to finish the play. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even and narrow stance in the box, utilizes a small stride through lower half to shift into contact. Loads weight on back side at start and comes off well, small leg lift trigger for timing. Gets uphill with swing path at times but showed ability to drive the ball to the middle of the field. Shows a handle for the barrel and can work to all parts of the field. Excellent student.
