Brian Behnke is a 5'10", 155 pound, 2006 LHP/outfielder from Gurnee, IL, with a lean, wiry build. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a full wind-up. He shows good arm action with a smooth delivery. He tops out at 80 mph and shows slight arm-side run. His curveball has a deceptive delivery, and a sharp 1-7 bite at 66-68 mph. He hits from a narrow stance and has a late, deep load. He has a level swing, but grips the bat very tightly and tends to wrap the bat a little which costs him bat speed and power. He runs well with a 7.03 in the 60, and covers a lot of ground in the outfield. He has smooth arm actions in the outfield excellent arm strength (83 mph). Brian has lots of room to grow and add muscle which will make him a solid college prospect in the future.
